Prayer requests: I need plenty more belief, plenty more power of prayer and more Holy Ghost with me. Please pray also that God gives me gifts of God’s grade.

A question please: There’s a hymn which says “take your burden to the Lord and leave it there”. This annoys me for some reasons: I heard various speakers quote it and I find it childish, even ridiculous, when they compare leaving it there to when you give them a small material thing (a pencil say)and then you physically and literally collect it back to consider what to do with it instead of leaving it idle. All the ones I came across do that – it’s easy. As my pastor is a bible student with a bachelorate and near to gain masters I asked him what it means to leave it there. Amazingly enough he did the same act. Then at home I tried to trace the original scripture in Matthew, and found that the phrase “leave it there” is not there. I felt cheated and immediately emailed him about it. His reaction was that it is implied.
Please help me – it would help me in my problems and frustrations to come to grips with this.
